Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An established healthcare organization is opening a brand-new long-term care pharmacy and is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead the operation. This is a rare opportunity to step into a ground-floor leadership role with full visibility across pharmacy operations and clinical staff.
Position Highlights:
Direct Hire, Full-Time Position
Start date: 23 weeks
Modern LTC facility, 40+ FTEs
System: Frameworks & DocuTrack
3 Shift Model: 24/7 operation
Relocation assistance available (negotiable)
Location: Southwest Virginia
Key Responsibilities:
Lead pharmacy operations in alignment with pany policies and regulatory requirements
Ensure pliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws
Oversee and implement quality assurance programs and SOPs
Support productivity goals, provide team oversight, and foster a high-performance culture
Remain hands-on and visible to staff, stepping in to support operational needs when required
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure optimal workflow, accuracy, and efficiency
Ideal Background:
Minimum 5+ years of Long-Term Care pharmacy experience
Proven leadership or supervisory experience within LTC
Excellent munication and team-building skills
Strong working knowledge of Frameworks and DocuTrack (preferred)
Must hold an active Virginia Pharmacist License (required at time of hire)
