Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An established healthcare organization is opening a brand-new long-term care pharmacy and is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead the operation. This is a rare opportunity to step into a ground-floor leadership role with full visibility across pharmacy operations and clinical staff.

Position Highlights:

• Direct Hire, Full-Time Position

• Start date: 23 weeks

• Modern LTC facility, 40+ FTEs

• System: Frameworks & DocuTrack

• 3 Shift Model: 24/7 operation

• Relocation assistance available (negotiable)

  Location: Southwest Virginia

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead pharmacy operations in alignment with pany policies and regulatory requirements

• Ensure pliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws

• Oversee and implement quality assurance programs and SOPs

• Support productivity goals, provide team oversight, and foster a high-performance culture

• Remain hands-on and visible to staff, stepping in to support operational needs when required

• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure optimal workflow, accuracy, and efficiency

Ideal Background:

• Minimum 5+ years of Long-Term Care pharmacy experience

• Proven leadership or supervisory experience within LTC

• Excellent munication and team-building skills

• Strong working knowledge of Frameworks and DocuTrack (preferred)

• Must hold an active Virginia Pharmacist License (required at time of hire)
