CNC Operator

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate CNC and manual machining equipmentincluding lathesto produce high-quality parts that meet precise specifications. You'll work from blueprints and diagrams, use precision measuring tools, and contribute to a safe, efficient shop environment. Opportunities for skill development and cross-training are available.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines, including lathes
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure conformance to specifications
• Perform basic machine setup, tooling changes, and adjustments
• Troubleshoot machining and mechanical issues as they arise
• Operate forklifts as needed to move materials safely
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Hands-on experience with CNC and manual machining
• Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, and precision gauges
• Experience with machine setup, tooling, and offsets
• Working knowledge of G-code programming

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Haas CNC machines
• Experience in milling and lathe operations
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Willingness and ability to cross-train into welding

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move 5075 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment

• MondayFriday schedule: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mechanicsville, VA.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
