Job Summary
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for supporting and executing payroll-related activities in a vendor-managed payroll environment. This role will execute U.S. payroll activities; various ad hoc activities needed to pay employees timely and accurately. This role will help maintain integrity and compliance for all payroll issues.
Job Description
- Support payroll operations in a vendor-managed environment by preparing, validating and submitting payroll data
- Load and maintain garnishments, payroll adjustments, special payments, and leave of absence transactions
- Review and sign-off timecards - check for compliance with pay and benefits policies and correct if necessary; conduct PTO analysis to maintain accurate PTO accrual balance in ADP e-Time; consult with manager regarding discrepancies and resolve; set up and test new schedules as required
- Execute payrolls and off-cycle payments
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and payments
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies and inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and time and attendance. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Work closely with Human Resources for master data reconciliation and cooperate with Payroll Accounting for payroll accounting reconciliation
- Reconcile various payroll and benefit deductions
- Support data requests and audit activities for the team
- Help develop and maintain process flow and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documents
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Manage other misc. ad hoc projects, reporting, etc., related to the payroll function
Skills Required
- 3-5 years payroll processing experience
- Proficient experience with ADP payroll systems
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, including V-lookup and Pivot table
- Exhibit excellent customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities at once
- Ability to maintain a strong attention to detail
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or related fields
Additional Requirements
- SAP experience preferred
- Experience with multi-state payroll
Pay Rate/Salary
- $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors
