We are looking for a dynamic  Government Studies Program Administrator to join our Team! The Government Studies Program Administrator is a pivotal role in supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of War, Personnel and Readiness (OUSD P&R). The Program Administrator manages the intake, review, coordination, and approval of studies conducted to support government requirements, policy development, regulatory compliance, and operational decision-making.

This role demands a comprehensive blend of technical, managerial, and administrative expertise. The Program Administrator will be at the core of the Resource and Program Integration team, tasked with conducting in-depth research, analysis, and providing strategic recommendations that align with OUSW P&R’s priorities. This role ensures that proposed research and analytical studies align with legal mandates, strategic objectives, budget constraints, and oversight standards.

This position will be located onsite at the Pentagon daily.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Receive, review, and process study and research requests submitted by internal departments or external stakeholders
  • Conduct thorough analyses of DoW and OUSD(P&R) strategic priorities, synthesizing complex information into actionable policy documents
  • Apply critical thinking to review content and assess its relevance to organizational goals
  • Provide insightful advice and recommendations to Government leadership, including drafting policies and procedures
  • Facilitate analytic research studies and projects aimed at developing and improving policies and programs
  • Provide sponsor office feedback to strengthen proposals
  • Coordinate cross-departmental review and approval workflows
  • Coordinate with the sponsor office, FFRDC, OSW(A&S), and OSW(P&R) internal finance team on funding execution of studies
  • Ensure studies comply with applicable federal, state, or local government regulations
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for study submission and approval
  • Track study timelines, milestones, funding allocations, and deliverables
  • Prepare briefing materials and recommendations for senior leadership approval
  • Maintain documentation, audit trails, and records management in accordance with government standards
  • Serve as liaison between program offices, legal counsel, finance, and oversight bodies
  • Monitor performance metrics and report outcomes to leadership; assist in the development and tracking of OUSD(P&R)-wide strategic performance goals and the strategic management plan

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Government, Policy or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 4 years of relevant experience in government operations, program management, regulatory compliance, or policy administration

  • Proven leadership skills in collaborative environments, capable of guiding teams, influencing stakeholders, and advancing strategic initiatives
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the DoW and OUSW organizational structures, policies, and strategic objectives, facilitating effective navigation of complex bureaucratic processes
  • Skilled in conducting research and managing projects that contribute to the development of innovative policies and the optimization of existing programs
  • Strong understanding of the government approval process and oversight requirements
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a structured, compliance-driven environment

Our goal is to provide a compensation package that reflects the value you bring to our team, is competitive with national average market rates, and promotes your financial security and personal well-being. The annual salary range for this role is $118,000 - $124,000. Please note that the salary information provided is a general guideline. CATHEXIS considers various factors in its final offer, including location, qualifications, experience, and skills.
