The journey begins here - with Global- a 1st Flagship Company, where we are currently looking for a Part-Time Training Manager to join our team.
What You'll Be Doing:- Develop and manage training programs for shipyard industrial trades (welding, electrical, pipefitting, rigging, etc.)
- Deliver hands-on and classroom training, including onboarding and refresher courses
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NAVSEA, and contract requirements
- Maintain training schedules, curricula, and qualification tracking systems
- Track and report training metrics, certifications, and workforce readiness
- Design and update training materials, SOPs, and work instructions
- Evaluate trainee performance and implement feedback and remediation plans
- Support audits by maintaining accurate, audit-ready training records
- Partner with Operations, Safety, HR, and Quality teams to identify skill gaps and training needs
Minimum:
- 5+ years of experience in a shipyard, manufacturing, or industrial trades environment
- 2+ years of experience in training, workforce development, or instruction
- Strong knowledge of industrial trades (mechanical, electrical, welding, etc.)
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and industrial safety practices
- Experience delivering both hands-on and classroom training
- Strong communication, organization, and program management skills
Preferred:
- Experience supporting Navy/DoD shipyard or federal contracting environments
- Training certifications (OSHA trainer, NCCER, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of NAVSEA standards and shipyard processes
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
