The Opportunity
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll act in a client-facing capacity during the implementation phase, collaborating closely with customers to ensure seamless deployment and adoption.
What You'll Do
Act as a client-facing technical leader during implementation phases with Fortune 100 companies
Own project delivery from the first customer meeting to live deployment
Test integrations and gather feedback to improve internal products and processes
Provide structured feedback to Platform Engineering and Product on feature gaps and customer pain points
Help write high-quality code aligned with product requirements that actually protects people's privacy
Help optimize application performance, security, and browser compatibility for enterprise-scale deployments
Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver on deadlines
What You Bring
7+ years of experience in software engineering roles
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field (required)
Ability to communicate and collaborate with clients during implementation
Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and business stakeholders
Experience building modern applications and APIs using JavaScript, React, and Node.js
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, such as Java, C++, C, or similar
Hands-on experience designing and building database connectors
Familiarity with scalable system design and architecture
Willingness to work 2-3 days in the office
Preferred Technical Skills
Programming: JavaScript and object-oriented programming, such as Java, C++, C or similar (PHP)
Frontend: ReactJS, JQuery, Bootstrap
Backend & API: RESTful APIs, AJAX, microservices architecture
Databases: SQL, NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB), Big Data (Hadoop, Hive, HBase)
Caching & Messaging: Redis, RabbitMQ
Cloud & Containerization: Docker, AWS, IaaS, PaaS
DevOps & Version Control: Git, Bitbucket, third-party testing frameworks
Bonus: Experience with Elastic Search
