We’re Hiring: Legal Assistant

Location: Henry County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Salary Minimum: $38,899 annually ($19.95/hour) | 37.5-hour work week

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment alongside talented professionals who are committed to excellence. This individual will perform intermediate legal, clerical and administrative work. Qualified individual should have an understanding of the judicial process and legal procedures and practices; knowledge of the criminal justice system is preferred. This individual must be able to communicate effectively and interact with courts and counsel while exercising good judgment and discretion. Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) to two (2) years of experience in a legal setting such as a law office, government agency, court system, or other comparable environment.
• Initial screening will include a computer aptitude test.
