Flooring Outside Sales
Position Summary
Our Outside Sales Reps are responsible for driving sales and leading TOC into the next chapter of growth.
All new sales persons must demonstrate their ability in selling our B2B Flooring Solutions directly into Builder, Multifamily, Senior Living, and Light Commercial channels.
Daily activities will include prospecting, providing demos, consultation, collaboration, negotiation, follow-up and closing new leads.
Must be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
You will need to immerse yourself in the world of flooring and full service B2B partnerships. You will be taught a comprehensive understanding of our products and offerings, as well as the overall competitive landscape.
This role is based in Ashland, VA and will report directly to the Manager of Sales. Strong B2B sales and organizational skills are key to your new career path.
To Succeed: (You Must)
- Develop and execute on business plans to achieve quarterly sales objectives.
- Proactively identify and strategize ways to capture new critical accounts.
- Be a self-starter – Driven by goals and results.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the industry, trends, products, and business channel.
- Seek out your own leads, appointments and develop new client base.
- Work hard, make money, and enjoy the World of Flooring!
What You'll Bring:
- 3+ years of success in B2B Sales.
- Background in Flooring a HUGE plus, but not required.
- Experience in producing B2B high sales volume.
- A hunter’s mentality with the ability to build and develop rapport and trusted relationships.
- Excellent problem solving, strategic thinking and negotiation skills.
- Ability to confidently deliver presentations and engage with prospects over the phone and in person.
- Solid skills in CRM
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate initiative.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a changing environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional professional presence and strong business acumen.

Started in 2001, Touch of Color Flooring now consisting of 4 stocking warehouses, over 190 employees, 300+ licensed crews and unparallel growth, TOC Flooring is one of the largest full-service flooring providers on the East Coast!
We are privileged to service many channels of industry including but not limited to; Multifamily Living, Student Housing, Commercial Builds, New Home Construction and Senior Living, just to name a few.
Our full-service team includes our Measure Agents who capture each measure with our state-of-the-art digital system, field supervisors for all types of projects, on-site service & warranty technicians, knowledgeable flooring advisors, factory supported and trained installation teams.
We work with every major flooring manufacturer, both domestic and abroad. We offer unique and specially designed products, created by our own flooring experts, for unique market/ industry challenges.
