Administrative Specialist (Bilingual Required)

The Prince William County, Department of Social Services, Customer Support and Services Team (CSS) is seeking a qualified applicant for our administrative specialist position. In this role, you will be a member of the Customer Response Team (CRT) and will work with other Administrative Specialists and Senior Human Services Specialists to provide front-end direct customer service to CSS customers both over the phone and in person. We want an individual who is able to work in a fast-paced environment, who can multi-task, and has strong attention to detail. The Administrative Specialist must be able to work as a team as good communication and follow-up are critical - to team members, CSS staff, and external customers. ABOUT THIS ROLE: The ideal candidate must have strong computer skills and be able to navigate between various types of software. You will provide quality customer service by answering questions, researching and coordinating information; inputting data, navigating and scanning documents into our database systems: LaserFiche, SPIDER and VaCMS; Perform other administrative tasks related to general office functions. You will need a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; Ability to multitask and handle requests from different individuals and departments; Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in both English and Spanish. The candidate must pass a language proficiency test in order to qualify for employment.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience. PREFERENCES:

• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience providing customer service in an organization that serves individuals and families living in need;
• Experience working with Virginia Case Management System (VaCMS).
• Must be bilingual English/Spanish
