Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Food Expediter to serve as the central communication hub between the kitchen and dining room. The Expo ensures that every dish is executed, plated, and delivered according to our standards—maintaining consistency, timing, and quality in a fast-paced, upscale casual New American environment. This role is critical to delivering a seamless and elevated guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the flow of food from kitchen to dining room, ensuring accurate and timely execution of all orders
• Review tickets for accuracy, modifications, and dietary restrictions, communicating clearly with kitchen and service staff
• Inspect all dishes for presentation, portioning, and quality before they leave the line
• Organize and prioritize tickets to maintain proper pacing and synchronization of courses
• Act as the primary point of communication between chefs, food runners, and servers
• Ensure all components of a dish are complete before release
• Manage and maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo line
• Assist with garnishing, plating, and final touches when needed
• Address and resolve service issues quickly and professionally

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an expediter, line cook, or in a similar restaurant role preferred
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food presentation standards
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a high-volume environment
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
