You Matter Homecare is here to provide a helping hand in assisting with many of our clients by starting with our Personal Care services providing a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) From hygiene to mobility assistance, You Matter Homecare offers services our clients need to stay in their homes and live a wonderful, engaged, and independent lives.
You Matter Homecare provides a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) that can assist with a wide variety of personal care needs, including:
BATHING ASSISTANCE
- Hygiene care is essential to preventing illness. Our goal is to make the experience comfortable and safe by:
- Preserving the client’s dignity rather than impacting relationships within the family
- Putting the client in control so they don’t feel like they are losing their independence
BATHROOMING
- Safely helping client’s bathroom is essential, be it in the bathroom or if they need assistance while in bed.
MOBILITY
- We can assist clients with moving between rooms, navigating stairs, and can make recommendations to help reduce their risk of falling.
Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Duties and Responsibilities
Personal Care Attendant (PCA) help clients with everyday activities, from cooking and cleaning to completing errands. Other essential duties and responsibilities include:
· Serving as a companion to clients
· Bathing
· Dressing
· Toileting
· Transfer (assisting client with getting around)
· Assist eating
· Turning and changing positions (If client is wheel bound)
· Grooming
· Transporting clients to and from appointments, errands, activities, etc. (if the patient has a transportation company providing services)
· Preparing meals
· Clean kitchen
· Clean areas used by client
· Laundry
· Empathy and the ability to care for the client’s social, emotional, physical, and mental needs
· An understanding of what to do in an emergency
