Data Security Engineer

Northwest Partners is engaged in a strategic initiative with a well-established technology organization and seeks an experienced data security / DSPM engineer to support the development and implementation of enterprise-grade data protection systems. This role focuses on discovery, classification, encryption, and DLP strategies.

What YOU will do
Implement and manage data discovery and classification tools
Support DSPM solutions such as Symmetry, BigID, and Dig Security
Deploy and manage DLP tools including Symantec, Forcepoint, Zscaler, and Microsoft Purview
Configure and monitor encryption and key management systems like Entrust, Thales, and HashiCorp Vault
Apply data masking and tokenization techniques to secure sensitive information
Monitor database activity using tools such as IBM Guardium and Imperva DAM
Secure cloud file and storage systems across platforms like S3, Blob, and GCS
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA

What YOU will bring us
Proven experience implementing DSPM and DLP technologies in enterprise environments
Hands-on knowledge of data security tooling across cloud and on-premise systems
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for data privacy and security
Expertise in encryption, tokenization, and data masking best practices
Ability to monitor and analyze database and file activity for security insights
Strong understanding of multi-cloud storage security practices
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work across security, compliance, and infrastructure teams
