Job Summary

Dominion Energy is seeking students to participate in our internship program.

  • This position requires the ability to provide expert and creative solutions to user problems to ensure customer satisfaction and productivity
  • Research, resolve, and respond to complex questions received via telephone calls, customer generated tickets or emails, and provide support on electronic services, in accordance with current standards
  • The position provides support for software as described in triage documentation and has proficient knowledge of Windows10, and Office 365
  • The position requires close coordination with all IT infrastructure and support teams

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Must have strong computer knowledge and skills with demonstrated ability to learn and utilize IT software programs
  • Must have strong customer service and problem solving skills; coursework or experience in PC hardware functionality, desktop imaging , network monitoring tools, Microsoft Office project support preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows10, Windows 11, and Office 365
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills; be able to work independently and as a team

Must live within a 30 minutes commuting distance of the assigned work location and have reliable transportation

Education Requirements

  • Must be currently pursuing a 4-year Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (ABET Accredited).
  • Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Students should have an anticipated graduation date of 2027 or later.
