Risk and Strategy Analyst - Capital Stress Testing

This role supports Capital One’s Stress Testing Analytics & Strategy team in the planning and execution of the Company’s annual Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and related Capital Plan development. Primary responsibilities include support for the associated scenario design and risk inclusion processes, and the assessment of resulting stress test projections as follows:

• Conduct quarterly risk inventory and risk profile analysis and interpretation for the annual CCAR exercise and other capital planning purposes

• Develop CCAR scenario design and risk inclusion recommendations for material and other risks and own the assessment of certain risks considered in our capital planning

• Maintain risk inclusion data for participating CCAR teams

• Support other ad hoc analysis during our CCAR production cycle and subsequent exam

Additional responsibilities center on the development and maintenance of associated procedural and other explanatory documentation for management, Board, and regulator consumption. As a key contributor to both the planning and execution of the annual CCAR process, this role provides a unique perspective on stress testing and capital planning processes associated with a large banking institution.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience

• At least 1 year of experience with risk management, compliance, audit, or finance, OR At least 1 year of experience in an analytical role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree

• 2+ years experience with risk management, compliance, audit, or finance OR 2+ years of experience in an analytical role

• Experience working with Microsoft Office and Google suites, and Workiva

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $92,800 - $105,900 for Analyst, Capital Markets & Risk

Richmond, VA: $84,400 - $96,300 for Analyst, Capital Markets & Risk

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
