Facility Assessor
Job Title: Junior Facility Assessor (Hybrid – Local Candidates Only)

About the Role:
Allied Staff Augmentation Partners (ASAP) is hiring on behalf of our client, a world-class engineering services and infrastructure organization . We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Junior Facility Assessors to join this growing team. Candidates must have onsite assessment or surveying experience , such as building surveying, facility inspections, or property condition assessments.
Ideal candidates will be located in the following areas, in order of priority:
- Virginia/DC/Maryland area.
- Pennsylvania.
- Massachusetts.
This is a hybrid position , and local candidates only will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting thorough facility condition assessments, including interior and exterior inspections of client buildings.
- Document findings through photographs, sketches, and notes, ensuring all data is accurately recorded.
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to understand building layouts and systems.
- Help draft preliminary reports identifying necessary repairs, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Apply basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural) to evaluate condition and performance.
- Participate in fieldwork, which may include climbing ladders, entering confined spaces, and walking up to 5 miles per day.
- Follow all safety protocols and represent the company professionally during site visits.
- Support senior assessors in managing project timelines and coordinating with team members.
- Engage in continuous learning about building technologies and assessment methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in facility or property condition assessment, building surveying, or construction management.
- Understanding of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD or similar software preferred.
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.
- Physical ability to perform inspections across large facilities.
