CTR Group is seeking a Spare Parts Data Engineer with a Global Manufacturer in the Newport News, VA area. Immediate opening and urgently hiring!

Schedule: 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri

Salary: $90K plus Excellent Benefits.

SUMMARY:

The Spare Parts Data Engineer is in charge of creating and validating spare parts documentation, tracking and maintaining the supplier bills of materials, checking for and correcting discrepancies, and coordinating and updating records to reflect upgrades and modifications to products in the field.

• Review blueprints, drawings, and change orders for data accuracy

• Administer and validate Bills of Material (BoM) for technical publications

• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to manage spare parts documentation

• Collaborate with technical writers and illustrators to update manuals and illustrations

• Maintain machine records and respond to affiliate/customer feedback

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings and bills of materials.
• Ability to coordinate activities between various teams.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word Processing software.
• Ability to interpret a variety of information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schematic form. Attention to detail in documentation and data accuracy is key.
• Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and/or enterprise resource planning (ERP) and part release/change management tools.
• Experience working with bills of material, engineering drawings, schematics and/or technical illustrations.
• CAD (PTC – Creo, IsoDraw etc.) skills are beneficial.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility in regard to engineering drawings, bills of material, item data, and quality requirements are preferred.
• Previous experience in an OEM (original equipment) and/or aftermarket manufacturing facility preferred.
