After School Program Teacher
Summary Beulah Duke Learning Academy (BDLA), located within Chesapeake Christian Center, is seeking a caring and dependable After School Program Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, structured, and fun environment for school-age children during the after-school hours. This position is perfect for someone passionate about helping children learn, grow, and build positive relationships in a faith-based setting. Duties
- Supervise and engage with school-age children in a safe, nurturing, and organized manner.
- Assist with homework, enrichment activities, and creative play.
- Implement age-appropriate activities that support social and emotional growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration.
- Maintain classroom order, cleanliness, and ensure safety procedures are followed.
- Support center-wide events and family engagement activities as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with children in a group setting preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and complete required training.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented.
- Training or degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Experience planning activities or leading small groups.
- Supportive and family-oriented work environment.
