• Setting: Emergency Room (Level II Trauma Center)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Assignment
• Start Dates: 4/7/2026 or 4/20/2026 (Orientation every other Monday)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 48 hours (mandatory)
• Weekend Requirement: Must work every other weekend
• Float: Not required

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience in a similar-size ED
• Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center required (trauma nursing experience)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (Trauma Certification such as ATCN/TNCC/ATLS required)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred (ED documentation / clinical support)
• All requested time off must be submitted with application
• Must be able to start on specified orientation dates
• COVID/Flu vaccine declinations accepted with approved documentation
• Local candidates within 60 miles are not eligible (travel nursing candidate requirement)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients in a busy Emergency Department
• Respond to trauma, critical care, and acute care situations with confidence and clinical expertise
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document care and coordinate patient care using Cerner EMR
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Participate fully in orientation, competency validation, and ongoing training as required
• Work every other weekend as part of the schedule
