Network Engineer

GCyber is seeking a Network Engineer, to support our government customer. As a Network Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and assist with network integration and consolidation efforts across multiple systems environments.

As the Network Engineer, you will:

• Prepare, review, and execute technical implementation plans that deliver integrated solutions, including defined actions, milestones, timelines, and critical paths.
• Resolve technical issues related to the installation, upgrade, and sustainment of network hardware and systems.
• Interface with customers, vendors, and technical teams to analyze business and technical requirements and support activities such as new circuit establishment.
• Develop, document, and present technical briefings, engineering standards, SOPs, technical guidance, and status reports to senior leadership.
• Support network architecture and engineering design efforts by evaluating emerging technologies, collaborating with partners to de-conflict efforts, and providing recommendations to improve efficiency, operability, and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 8+ years of prior experience, or Master’s degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience
• IAT Level II Certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, SSCP)
• Experience developing solutions and troubleshooting the following vendors and technologies:
  • Cisco Switches and routers
    • S2S connections
    • DMVPNs
    • Advanced routing – BGP
  • Palo Alto Firewalls
  • AWS Networked design and implementations.
    • Virtual Private Cloud (VPCs)
    • Route 53
    • Amazon Firewall Services
• Ability to translate highly technical matter to non-technical audience
• Technical depth in network services and architecture (WAN/LAN?virtual private network (VPN))
