Desi Fresh Foods is a leading “cultured” dairy manufacturer with over 23 years of experience. We produce high-quality and consistent products, which include yogurt (Dahi or Indian, Greek and traditional), smoothies / yogurt drinks, sour cream, and dips from single serve options to food service side. We are currently seeking a skilled Packing Operator to join our team at our facility in Frederick County, Virginia!

About the Role
As a Packing Operator at our yogurt processing facility, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining packing equipment to ensure the efficient and accurate packaging of yogurt products.

Two Shift Openings:

• First Shift: Monday through Friday: 5am - 5pm ET

• Second Shift: Monday through Friday: 3pm - 11pm ET

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Operation :
   • Operate packing equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to package yogurt products efficiently and accurately.
2. Quality Assurance :
   • Follow quality control policies and procedures to ensure that packaged products meet established standards.
   • Conduct visual inspections of packaged products for defects or abnormalities and take corrective action as needed.
   • Monitor packaging materials, such as film or containers, for proper alignment and functionality.
3. Safety Compliance :
   • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating packing equipment and working in the production area.
   • Report any safety hazards, incidents, or near misses immediately to the appropriate personnel.
   • Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
4. Team Collaboration :
   • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth coordination of packing activities.
   • Communicate effectively with other departments, such as quality assurance and maintenance, to address any production-related issues or concerns

About You

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Proven experience operating packing equipment or similar machinery in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
• Ability to follow written instructions and SOPs accurately.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
