Customer and Orders Agent

: Customer and Orders Agent Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm 1-year contract Location: Ashland, VA Pay rate: $18 - $20/hr Description: Support Agent, ensuring the service shop and field service organization. The responsibilities include receiving and routing purchased items, accepting returns from service personnel, and shipping products to vendors, manufacturers, customers, or other company locations. Utilizing a tracking system, following shipments and orders, freight truck carriers is essential. Efficiently manage requests for parts, determine the most cost-effective sourcing methods, and provide necessary information to various stakeholders, including the call support center, field techs, accounts payable, parts receiving agents, and company management. This position operates under in-direct supervision. Responsibilities:

• Receiving and accepting deliveries from carriers
• Processing and accurately entering product details into the accounting system (GP).
• Labeling and directing products to the correct locations (stock, field reps, customers, or other ESI locations).
• Managing returned products from service personnel.
• Handling shipments through UPS, FedEx, or freight carriers using computer software or manual BOL.
• Packaging products for shipment to vendors, manufacturers, customers, or other ESI locations.
• Verifying accuracy in shipping information, such as customer details, quantities, addresses, and call numbers.
• Ensuring accurate information for accounts payable to process invoices promptly.
• Updating all shipping or receiving information on service calls.
• Restocking products in car stocks and on shelves.
• Conducting physical inventory counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Monitoring and updating outstanding orders past their original ETA date in the accounting system.
• Receiving product requests through the accounting system or manual requests from service personnel or internal/external customers.
• Checking product availability in current inventory at all locations.
• Determining the best source for purchasing products based on service call requirements, availability, and cost considerations.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of inventory / purchasing / receiving / arranging shipments experience preferred
