Program Supervisor - Tanners Creek
Applicants must have the ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities represent the essential functions of this job that an individual must be able to perform with or without a reasonable accommodation:
Provides staff support to include recruitment and hiring of new staff, coordinating staffing schedules and assigned duties, and revising schedules as needed per the needs of the individuals
Plans and supervises learning and recreational activities forprogramparticipantswhich may involve providing transportation for participants to and from scheduled recreational activities
Assists in the development and implementation of comprehensive individualized service plans (ISPs), as well as weekly and monthly evaluations of all plans
Contact families, advocates, and other service providers to coordinate programming and/or disseminate information
Attend team meetings in the absence of the Program Manager to discuss and coordinate the needs and services of program participants
Maintains appropriate training to provide direct support to individuals as needed
Other duties as assigned
Local travel in a personal or program vehicle is required

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE:
The following qualifications represent the training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or work experience required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities successfully:
Degree in Human Services or related field, or any combination of equivalent education and experience
- Experience counseling persons with intellectual disabilities, including those who are non-verbal and those with significant cognitive impairments
- Effective written and oral communication of information to staff regarding the needs of program participants and accurately describing/recording data and observations
- Demonstration of sound judgment regarding behavior management, health needs, and emergencies
- Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks and quickly adapt to changes in job routines Effective use of technology and information systems, including, but not limited to, Microsoft 365
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Physical demands: Performing the duties of this job requires near visual acuity, the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds, and gross manipulation. Additionally, the employee:
- Must be free of tuberculosis in a communicable form
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to provide direct support services for individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities, which may involve crouching, stooping, or reaching at/below shoulder level and overhead
Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in a warehouse setting, with exposure to dust and other potential allergens. Must be able to withstand extreme fluctuations of temperature and noise levels.
