Overview
The Jefferson Hotel is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Supervisor to oversee daily operations within the hotel’s laundry facility. This role is responsible for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation expected of a luxury property. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on work with team leadership, ensuring that guest linens, uniforms, and other hotel textiles are processed with care, efficiency, and accuracy.

Key Requirements

• Availability: Must be available to work any day of the week , including weekends and holidays , as required by operational needs.
• Experience: Previous experience in commercial laundry operations is required; supervisory experience in a hospitality or healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
• Leadership: Must possess strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to train and manage a team effectively.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs , and operate industrial laundry equipment.

Basic Functions & Scope

• Oversee the daily operations of the hotel laundry department, including the cleaning, drying, pressing, and folding of all linens, uniforms, and terry.
• Ensure linen inventory is processed and delivered according to hotel needs and standards.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the laundry area.
• Supervise and assist laundry staff to ensure productivity, accuracy, and high-quality results.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping and other departments to meet linen demand for guest rooms, dining areas, the spa, and public spaces.
• Troubleshoot and coordinate maintenance for laundry equipment as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assign daily tasks to laundry staff and ensure proper coverage across all shifts.
• Inspect linens for stains, damage, or wear, and separate accordingly.
• Operate and maintain commercial washers, dryers, steamers, and pressing machines.
• Maintain clear records for linen counts, machine maintenance logs, and supply usage.
• Order and stock laundry supplies, ensuring adequate inventory levels at all times.
• Provide on-the-job training for new staff and ongoing development for the laundry team.
• Ensure all operations follow hotel policies, safety procedures, and hygiene protocols.
• Work with Engineering for preventive maintenance and repair of equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of laundry experience in a hotel, resort, or similar environment.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and team coordination.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
• Basic computer literacy for timekeeping, ordering, and reporting.
