Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Acac, VA. This contract role spans a full semester and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational and developmental progress of students.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide therapeutic interventions for students to enhance their functional abilities in the school environment
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized plans that support student success
- Document and maintain detailed records of student progress and interventions
- Attend meetings and participate in team discussions to coordinate student services
- Provide guidance on adaptive equipment and modifications to enhance accessibility
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience working in school settings
- Knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and school-based therapy practices
- Strong munication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work independently and manage caseload efficiently
