Janitor / Custodial Staff (Part-Time)
Location: NIS Headquarters Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor for a part-time position at our headquarters. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment for employees and visitors. Hours: 5 pm to 9 pm Monday through Friday. Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning throughout the facility, including offices, common areas, and restrooms
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors and carpets
- Dust, clean, and polish furniture, fixtures, blinds, and surfaces
- Clean and sanitize restrooms; restock paper products and supplies
- Clean mirrors, windows, doors, countertops, and tabletops
- Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash and recycling
- Disinfect frequently touched surfaces to maintain health and safety standards
- Maintain janitorial equipment and ensure storage areas remain clean and organized
- Monitor cleaning supply levels and notify management when replenishment is needed
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, needed repairs, or maintenance issues
- Follow established safety procedures and properly handle cleaning chemicals
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and a professional demeanor
- Ability to follow schedules, instructions, and safety/security procedures
- Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
- US Citizen
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs .
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, and handle equipment to clean various areas, including high and low spaces.
