Niyam is se eking a 508 Test Engineer to join our team in support of our work with a federal client. We offer competitive compensation and benefits. This hybrid role will develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and scripts that validate software functionality, usability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have experience across the full software development lifecycle, working closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues, while ensuring applications meet high standards for quality, compliance, and user experience. Candidate must be able to work onsite at client location in Ashburn, VA.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, scenarios, and scripts for software validation.


• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment.


• Collaborate with development teams to identify, document, and resolve defects.


• Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases and defect tracking.


• Conduct functional, regression, and acceptance testing of software applications.


• Perform root cause analysis of defects and provide actionable feedback to development teams.


• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using technologies such as Selenium, WebDriver, and other relevant tools.


• Perform 508 compliance testing, usability, security, performance, stress, and other quality assurance activities as needed.
  

Requirements :

• US Citizen with ability to successfully complete federal background investigation.


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, OR 3+ years of equivalent professional experience.


• 2+ years of experience as a 508 Tester .


• DHS Trusted Tester Certification required.


• Strong experience with functional, regression, and acceptance testing.


• Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, WebDriver).


• Knowledge of accessibility, usability, performance, and security testing practices.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
