Seeking a seasoned System Engineer to support advanced modernization efforts within complex operational environments. This role is centered on assessing emerging technologies, supporting integration initiatives, and partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance mission effectiveness. This position is fully on-site in Fort Belvoir, VA. Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess new and emerging technologies for potential operational use
- Identify integration challenges and analyze technical risks across systems
- Support the planning and execution of technology demonstrations and experimental initiatives
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and leadership briefings
- Collaborate with engineering teams, operational stakeholders, and acquisition personnel
- Assist with transitioning validated technologies into scalable implementation pathways
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 10+ years of experience for senior-level candidates or 15+ years for subject matter experts
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Experience supporting defense systems or advanced technology development programs
- Strong knowledge of systems design, integration processes, and risk analysis methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- DAWIA Engineering certification or equivalent credential
- Experience with major acquisition programs (ACAT), urgent operational needs, or adaptive acquisition models
- Background working in systems engineering or complex integration environments
