Responsibilities:

• Install underground utilities, including fiber optic cables, conduits, and pipes in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Perform Cable Pulling duties: Pulling, routing, and termination various types of cables, including fiber optic and cable cables in outdoor environments, and set handholds
• Perform general labor tasks such as cleaning and preparing construction sites, loading and unloading materials and equipment, and erecting and dismantling scaffolding and temporary structures.
• Assist skilled tradesmen and other crew members in their duties related to outside plant (OSP) construction and HEO operations.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and project safety plans.
• Interact professionally with customers, trade partners, and suppliers/vendors, maintaining a positive and professional attitude on the job site.
• Perform other maintenance duties as they arise, such as equipment troubleshooting, site cleanup, and support activities for HEO and OSP construction.
• Responsible for daily job site clean-up, ensuring that all equipment and materials are properly stored and secured.

Education and Experience:

• Education Level: High School/GED
• Experience: 1-2 years of relevant job experience, particularly in cable pulling / installation

Skills & Requirements:

• Previous experience in fiber and copper cable installation
• Physical strength and stamina to operate heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks; ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Preferred Knowledge of heavy equipment, trenching operation, and various HEO techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and demonstrating a positive, can-do attitude.
• Open to direct instruction and constructive feedback to improve skills and job performance.
• Flexibility for changing tasks and assignments in a dynamic work environment.
• A willingness to learn new skills, attend technical training, and adapt to evolving construction technologies.
