Position Summary

The Director of Operations will serve as a key member of JANSON’s Atlanta-based Production and Fabrication Facility. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient production, maintaining the highest standards of quality, and driving team performance. This candidate will be a strong, hands-on leader with the ability to motivate teams, optimize processes, and deliver on schedule and budget.

This position is based full-time at JANSON’s Atlanta production and fabrication facility, with occasional travel as needed to support project execution and company operations. Prior military leadership experience is strongly preferred, particularly for candidates with a background in logistics, operations, or engineering environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of the Atlanta production and fabrication facility, including staff supervision, workflow coordination, and operational execution
• Drive production efficiency, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company standards
• Establish and enforce quality control processes to ensure all deliverables meet JANSON and client requirements
• Develop and manage production schedules, resource allocation, and capacity planning
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Implement and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve productivity, safety, and consistency
• Partner with project management, estimating, and field teams to ensure alignment between fabrication and installation timelines
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and applicable industry standards
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate procurement of materials and equipment
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and operational scalability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environments, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of production workflows, scheduling, and quality control processes
• Demonstrated experience improving operational efficiency and implementing process improvements
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with project management and/or ERP systems preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior military leadership experience (e.g., logistics, operations, engineering, or command roles)
• Experience in construction fabrication, millwork, interiors, or related industries
• Familiarity with federal or government contracting environments
