About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietary Cook - Langley Post Acute to join our team in a Skilled Nursing Facility. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently cook an assortment of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking
• Prepare and present food in a visually appealing manner, including plating and garnishing of cooked items
• Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager in their absence to ensure accurate meal prep and delivery
• Classically trained and experienced in a high-volume culinary environment
• Follow and prepare standardized recipes
• Clean the kitchen before and after food service, as well as all kitchen equipment before and after use
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and stock rotation
• Develop and maintain recipes to ensure compliance with dietary standards
• Capable of handling last-minute requests for special events

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Classically trained and experienced in a high-volume culinary environment
