A Day in the Life: Your Impact
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood — and you help make that lifesaving connection possible.
You'll travel with your team to donation sites at schools, community centers, workplaces, and more. This role blends hands-on teamwork, meaningful interactions, and the satisfaction of knowing your work matters.
Your day includes:
- Set the Stage — Transport and set up equipment to turn everyday spaces into professional donation centers. All staff work as a team to set up and tear down the equipment required to conduct a mobile blood drive.
- Connect with Donors — Welcome donors, listen to their stories, and help them feel comfortable and valued.
- Build Real Skills — Perform safe, high-quality blood collections once fully trained in phlebotomy techniques.
- Ensure Safety & Compliance — Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure every donation meets quality standards and can be safely transfused.
- Pack Up with Purpose — Leave each site knowing the blood collected today could reach a patient within days
