Adelphi is seeking Registered Dietitian Nutritionists to deliver comprehensive nutrition care at two facilities in Chesapeake, Virginia. The ideal candidate will conduct assessments, develop individualized care plans, approve menus, and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams.

Requirements:

• Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Completion of an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), credentialed by CDR and authorized in Virginia.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in long-term care, developmental disability services, or similar healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of CMS, ADA, and state/local nutrition and food safety regulations.
• Ability to create care plans, review menus, and train staff per standards.
• Successful completion of required background checks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments at admission, annually, and as needed for health status changes.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans that reflect physician orders and resident needs.
• Review, approve, and monitor menus to ensure compliance with dietary guidelines and therapeutic requirements.
• Provide staff training on food preparation, handling, and diet-specific supports.
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Care Teams and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrators.
• Ensure documentation of all services in compliance with facility policies and regulatory timeframes.
• Serve as a consultant for urgent dietary and nutrition-related issues.
• Support quality assurance efforts, conduct audits, and recommend improvements to nutrition services.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing nutrition services in ICFs.
