Senior Tax Manager, International Tax, Project Kuiper
DESCRIPTION
We're seeking an innovative US International Tax strategist to help revolutionize global internet access through Project Kuiper. Your expertise will directly support an ambitious initiative bringing high-speed broadband internet to communities worldwide, transforming digital connectivity on a global scale. In order to be successful, the candidate must think strategically while also engaging in day-to-day tactical details, in order to identify and manage tax technical and execution risks. This position is part of a team that works closely with business partners and members of the corporate tax department to structure business initiatives and transactions. This function is critical to ensuring that the business teams are well advised on the tax impact of their activities, and that the relevant tax technical analysis of such activities are properly supported as part of our reporting, compliance and on-going tax controversy efforts. The ideal candidate will have in-depth tax technical knowledge with experience evaluating and advising on international business initiatives and proposals, and must understand financial systems and work with technical (operational) stakeholders. The candidate will also work closely with members across the global tax department as well as external stakeholder teams (e.g., Accounting, Legal, Finance), and communicate business plans, obtain tax subject matter input, and ensure coordination and execution of cross-functional tax solutions in a sustainable manner. - Evaluate and mitigate tax risks associated with global business transactions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust tax documentation and compliance
- Communicate complex tax concepts to non-technical stakeholders with clarity and precision
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Experience in taxation in a corporate environment, public accounting firm or major law firm
- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partner well with people at all levels within an organization, including coaching of junior staff
- J.D. or CPA
