They are seeking a skilled Program Director to lead and enhance their life and health insurance offerings.
Job Description:The Program Director will oversee and optimize the association’s insurance programs, working closely with third-party administrators and insurance carriers. This role involves strategy development, program management, contract negotiation, and member engagement to ensure the best possible benefits and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as the primary contact and program manager for the organization’s life and health insurance offerings.
- Develop strategies to expand insurance programs, drive engagement, and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Manage relationships and negotiate contracts with third-party administrators and insurance carriers.
- Monitor industry trends to ensure competitive plan offerings in terms of coverage, pricing, and service.
- Act as a liaison for members, resolving inquiries and advocating for customer needs.
- Oversee the creation and review of marketing materials and policy documents related to insurance plans.
- Provide insights on federal life and health insurance changes and their impact on the organization’s offerings.
- Support leadership teams by preparing reports and materials for board meetings and strategic discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field (preferred).
- Professional designations such as FLMI, ChFC, or CLU are a plus.
- Virginia State Life and Health Insurance license required.
- Strong understanding of life and health insurance principles, policies, and regulations.
- Experience with TRICARE and other military-related insurance programs is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage insurance programs, analyze data, and develop growth strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
