Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Software License Compliance Manager to lead our efforts in ensuring adherence to software licensing agreements and regulations. In this role, you will work closely with various departments to monitor, track, and manage software licenses across the organization. You will play a critical role in maintaining compliance, mitigating risks, and optimizing software usage, while also contributing to cost-saving initiatives.
- License Compliance Oversight: Monitor software usage and licenses across the organization to ensure compliance with licensing agreements, copyright laws, and relevant regulations.
- License Auditing: Plan, conduct, and oversee regular software license audits to verify compliance and identify potential licensing gaps or discrepancies.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of software licenses, agreements, and usage. Generate regular reports and summaries for management and relevant stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks related to software licensing non-compliance. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Policy and Process Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of software license management policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
- Cost Optimization: Collaborate with procurement and IT teams to identify opportunities for optimizing software license costs, including consolidating licenses and renegotiating agreements.
- Technology Integration: Work with IT teams to implement software asset management tools and systems to enhance license tracking and compliance efforts.
Required 3 Years. Proven experience in software license compliance management, software asset management, or a related role.Required 3 Years. In-depth understanding of software licensing agreements, copyright laws, and industry best practices.Highly desired 3 Years. Knowledge of IT asset management best practicesRequired 3 Years. Strong analytical and organizational traits; demonstrated ability to manage concurrent activitiesRequired 3 Years. Understanding of software usage rights, terms & conditionsHighly desired 3 Years. Familiarity with software asset management tools and technologies.Highly desired 3 Years. Experience with process development and improvement
