Machine Operator
Job Responsibilities:
- Pre-operation machine inspection- load screws and hinges.
- Sort and push door stacks down the conveyor tracks.
- Use mallet to loosen doors.
- Load hinge machine with bifold door panels for hinging.
- Inspect and ensure hardware aligned and applied correctly prior to push off.
- Pull off callboards, change bits, restock rails/assist.
- Reject doors are directed to repair and remakes requested.
- LOTO certified and use of air gun during clean up.
Skills:
- Skilled in machine operation and pre-operation inspections for door manufacturing.
- Proficient in visual quality inspection ensuring precise hardware alignment and standards.
- Strong ability to read schedules, tickets, and accurate measurements.
- Experienced in repairing, sanding, painting, and touch-up work on doors.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads with consistent work stamina.
Education/Experience:
- Ability to lift to 80 lbs., bending, constant twisting while carrying product, stooping, pushing, and long periods of constant standing or on your feet.
- Fast and low paced job depending on demand levels.
- Continuous focus on measurement accuracy and visual quality inspection of doors.
- Minimal communication required upstream or downstream
