Driver/Stretcher Operator
Job Description:
Paramedics and EMTs welcome! We are currently seeking professional, punctual, and customer-focused drivers to join our growing team. As a NEMT (Non Emergent Medical Transport) Driver with A&G Medical Transport, you will be responsible for safely transporting clients to and from medical appointments, facilities, and homes.
Responsibilities:
- Must work Saturdays
- Safely transport patients using a stretcher in a specialized NEMT vehicle.
- Assist patients during loading and unloading while ensuring comfort and safety.
- Operate stretcher equipment, ramps, and securement systems properly.
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding trip status and scheduling.
- Complete trip documentation and required reports accurately.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and keep vehicles clean and sanitized.
- Provide respectful, compassionate service to patients and caregivers.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must be 25 years or older
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations)
- Ability to pass physical and drug screening
- Experience with senior citizens or persons with disabilities is a plus
- PASS, PASS Wheelchair, FWA, Defensive Driving, HIPPA, First Aid, and CPR Certifications
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and assist with mobility equipment
- Ability to take long distance transports as needed (Jacksonville, Gainesville, Dothan, etc..)
