In this position you will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in support Common Aviation Support Equipment (CAvSE) acquisition phases of assigned systems, programs, or major equipment. Provide maintenance data analysis to assist Product Groups develop funding inputs and procurement requirements that influence supply and readiness levels. Assess system/equipment performance and identify problem areas or deficiencies; provide recommendations on improvements and modernization requirements. Serve as representative and spokesperson in communicating CAvSE data program matters, support senior leaders in making data driven decisions. Requirements: 1. U.S. Citizenship. 2. This position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). 3. The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position. 4. Employee must obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the position. 5. Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall. Incumbent may be required to report to work during base exercises, contingencies, or emergency situations and overtime/comp time/credit hours may be required to accomplish assigned duties. 6. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft. 7. Must have or be able to obtain Acquisition Certification. KSA’s: 1. Knowledge of basic theories and principles of systems design, business intelligence tools, and relational database models; ability to analyze data, correlate relationships and identify trends. 2. Skilled in programming and data query languages such as Python, R, or SQL 3. Ability to present data visualizations such as charts, metrics, and graphs that effectively communicate findings and insight. Proficient in programs such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik. 4. Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, and acquisition. 5. Knowledge of maintenance management principles, ability to monitor maintenance information systems (MIS) to evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs). 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; prepare and present information to senior leadership.
