Job Title: Bilingual Field Technician / General Laborer (English & Spanish Required)
Location: Petersburg, VA
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM until work is complete (Weekends and on-call as needed)

Position Overview

As a Field Technician , you will perform a variety of environmental and industrial duties. This role also functions as a General Laborer , requiring physical strength, attention to safety, and flexibility in changing environments. Being bilingual English and Spanish is required for communication, safety compliance, and teamwork.

Essential Job Responsibilities

The Field Technician / General Laborer will:

• Perform equipment decontamination and industrial cleaning

• Conduct confined space entries following safety procedures

• Assist with soil remediation projects

• Perform underground storage tank cleaning and removal

• Collect environmental samples

• Support supervisors and project leads on-site

• Work in physically demanding environments as a General Laborer

• Communicate clearly as a bilingual English and Spanish team member

This Field Technician position requires adaptability, as projects vary daily. The General Laborer duties may include lifting, stacking, carrying equipment, and performing manual labor tasks outdoors. Strong communication skills in bilingual English and Spanish are necessary for safety meetings and project coordination.

Work Environment

As a Field Technician and General Laborer , you may work in:

• Extreme heat or cold

• Outdoor terrain and uneven surfaces

• Industrial settings with loud equipment

• Hazardous environments (with proper PPE)

• Tight spaces requiring crawling or squatting

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual English and Spanish (Required)

• High School Diploma or GED

• Experience as a General Laborer , Field Technician , construction worker, or industrial cleaner preferred

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and extended shifts

We are specifically seeking a General Laborer with Field Technician experience who is comfortable in physically demanding environments and fluent in bilingual English and Spanish communication.

Physical Requirements

The General Laborer / Field Technician must be able to:

• Lift and carry 50+ pounds consistently

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods

• Perform repetitive physical tasks

• Work long hours when required
