Senior Software Engineer

Tyler Technologies is looking for a Senior Software Engineer at 12801 Worldgate Dr., Suite 600, Herndon, VA 20170 to perform the following job duties:

• Develop and optimize machine learning models for predictive analytics and real‑time monitoring systems.
• Architect and build data dashboards and tools that support strategic decision‑making.
• Create AI tools for issue resolution predictions, utilizing machine learning and web‑crawled data.
• Develop features and enhance data presentation and user experience, including risk prediction models.
• Guide and mentor less experienced team members to foster technical growth.
• Work closely with business analysts and other teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Report to our Herndon, VA office at least 2 days per week; may work remotely from the same MSA as the worksite up to 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field and 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, or similar occupation.
• 5 years of experience in machine learning, AI, data analytics, Python, R, SQL, AWS, SAS, SPSS, Scala, Tableau, Hadoop, Jira, Confluence, and agile methodologies.
• OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field and 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, or similar occupation.
• 2 years of experience in machine learning, AI, data analytics, Python, R, SQL, AWS, SAS, SPSS, Scala, Tableau, Hadoop, Jira, Confluence, and agile methodologies.
