Service Manager, Dealership
- Lead, train, and schedule technicians; set monthly goals per technician and coach performance — recognizing those on pace and getting others back on track.
- Own department P&L: hit budget and revenue targets, maximize gross profit, and partner with Sales and Parts to grow add-on and repair sales.
- Deliver a top-tier customer experience — greeting and assisting customers, maximizing completed work per visit, and personally resolving escalated complaints.
- Manage day-to-day operations: repair order and warranty processing through to accounting, department reporting, and annual staff reviews.
- Maintain facility and equipment — coordinating repairs/contractors and ensuring a clean, safe work area throughout the department.
- Ensure staffing, attendance, and appearance standards are met, and complete manufacturer/state-required training and certifications (State Inspector license preferred).
- Strong, engaging leadership style with proven ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a diverse team.
- Self-directed with strong time management; comfortable making decisions that impact revenue and customer retention across multiple concurrent priorities.
- Effective communicator across all levels of staff and customers, including ownership of escalated situations.
- Powersports service experience required (dirt bike/street bike/ATV emphasis a plus); mechanical training or trade school a plus.
- Proficient with ERP/tracking systems, OEM/vendor sites, and Microsoft Office & Google Workspace.
- Self-motivated and driven, with a genuine passion for the powersports industry
- The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- May be required to push and/or balance a 600 lb+ powersports vehicle
- Ability to use keyboard and computer for extended length of time
- The ability to spend the majority of the day on your feet
