Research and Technology Protection (RTP) and Risk-Based Review Specialist - Level III
Virginia - VA US Job Type Full-time Education Bachelor's Degree Career Level Experienced (Non-Manager) Category Information Technology Job Description EPS Corporation is seeking a Research and Technology Protection (RTP) and Risk-Based Review Specialist - Level III provides senior-level expertise supporting the protection of critical Science and Technology (S&T) programs. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining Science & Technology Protection Plans (S&TPPs), identifying threats and vulnerabilities, conducting security-based risk reviews, and supporting program protection planning efforts. The specialist produces executive-level analytical products and collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) and government stakeholders to mitigate risks to sensitive research and technologies. Requirements Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation, review, and maintenance of Science & Technology Protection Plans (S&TPPs)
- Identify, analyze, and document threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to S&T programs
- Conduct security-based and risk-based reviews of research, development, and acquisition efforts
- Coordinate with government personnel, program offices, and SMEs to gather technical and threat data
- Recommend mitigation strategies to reduce technology protection risks
- Support program protection planning (PPP) and associated risk assessments
- Develop and deliver executive-level briefings, reports, and decision-support products
- Ensure alignment with DoD, Intelligence Community, and acquisition security policies and guidance
- Track and document risk mitigation actions and protection measures
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Security Studies, or a related field
- OR five (5) additional years of job-related experience or completion of formal military/DoD intelligence training may be substituted for the education requirement
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience with a qualifying degree
- OR fourteen (14) years of relevant experience with military or DoD training
- Must complete the following Defense Acquisition University (DAU) courses within 60 days of start date:
- STM0020
- ACQ 110
- STM 1010
- ACQ 160
- Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance - Required
- In-depth knowledge of S&T protection, acquisition security, and risk management
- Experience supporting DoD research, development, and acquisition programs
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills
- Ability to produce concise, executive-level written and visual products
- Effective communication and coordination with senior government stakeholders
- Familiarity with program protection planning and technology threat mitigation
