Our Strategy and Sales teams are looking for experienced, detail-oriented, website strategists who are collaborative, curious, and passionate.

At WDG our strategists are, “here to hear.” The strategist anchors the discovery phase, surfaces data driven insights and positions project directives that focus decision making for subsequent production teams. They become immersed in our client’s world by reading, facilitating discussion and conducting research. They strive to understand business goals and to discern the needs of digital audiences — in order to strategize user centered websites.

The deliverables of the Senior Web Strategist influence the user interface and the content management system as there are implications for content strategy and information architecture. They distill complex business requirements into meaningful next steps, informative diagrams and foundational wireframes. Senior Web Strategists are client-facing and must lead an informed approach for purposeful website-framework design, implementation and evolution.

Senior web strategists investigate emerging trends to confidently advise our clients on proven best practices as well as innovative approaches. They are also expected to influence our approach to sales engagements by contextualizing WDG opportunities within prospective digital transformations.

Strategists at WDG are not responsible for project management or technical scoping.

Role Responsibilities:

Research the industry

Document heuristic website reviews

Run and summarize website data

Review digital marketing tactics

Conduct competitive / comparative analysis

Analyze data including Google Analytics

Surface audience insights

Lead client workshops and production team working sessions

Conduct stakeholder interviews

Discover strategic (website) opportunities

Draft site maps

Influence and/or produce wireframes

What we need from you:

Previous client-facing experience in an agency environment

Professionally adept in marketing platforms and tools including SEO, SEM, analytics, and comparative analysis

Background in web technologies

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Familiarity with open-source CMS and e-CRM platforms

Ambition and curiosity

Compensation: This role’s salary will range from $90,000 – $120,000 in addition to company-offered benefits. Actual compensation for this role is dependent on several factors, including but not limited to skill set and experience.
