Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Learning and Development (L&D) Manager to join our team at INDEVCO North America. The L&D Manager will be responsible for assessing development needs then creating and implementing learning strategies in alignment with the company’s objectives. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the training process and experience with various training methods, including on-the-job coaching, mentorship programs, and e-learning. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources on site at the corporate headquarters in Doswell, Virginia.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with managers and leadership team to understand individual/collective training needs to develop and deploy effective training programs.
- Manage budgets for training and development activities.
- Analyze talent metrics to assess the effectiveness of development programs and make data-driven decisions.
- Oversee and/or develop educational materials such as online learning modules, workshop materials, and instructional videos.
- Lead organizational development initiatives to improve company culture and employee engagement.
- Spearhead performance evaluations and assessments.
- Ensure the local sites complete the 30/60/90 review process for all new hires and complete a bi-annual review of KPI’s with their salaried team members.
- Create succession planning strategies to ensure a pipeline of qualified candidates for key positions.
- Facilitate career development initiatives, through coaching, mentoring, and career pathing.
- Develop and implement talent development programs to identify and nurture high-potential employees. Lead the Management Development Program.
- Manage the Internship program, by closely working with local sites and universities.
- Conduct organizational assessments and cultural surveys to identify areas for improvement.
- Facilitate team-building activities and workshops to improve collaboration and communication.
- Work in conjunction with local management teams on community involvement campaigns.
- Enhance employee experience by developing initiatives that promote engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Work in conjunction with local management teams to promote the Employee of the Month/Year program to recognize and reward outstanding performance.
- Promote the employee referral programs.
- Establish a company-wide rewards and recognition program.
- And other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in organization development, workforce planning, training, and/or talent development role.
- Strong understanding of effective learning and development methods.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and external relationships.
- Strong analytical skills for identifying training needs and evaluating program effectiveness.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
