Enterprise Data Steward

Description

The purpose of this role is to support the adoption of enterprise-wide Data Governance practices by partnering closely with Business Data Stewards. This position operates as part of a central data governance function and collaborates across multiple business units. Responsibilities include helping to develop a normalized and consistent Enterprise Business Glossary, supporting the creation of common business data taxonomies, guiding data stewards in establishing data quality monitoring processes, and coordinating the resolution of enterprise-level data quality issues. The role also assists in managing the repository of critical data assets and elements in alignment with standard financial data models.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems or business management required, Master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in data governance and management

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data stewardship, preferably in retaining banking institution.

• Experience writing and maintaining data governance processes, standards, best practices

• Experience working with internal stakeholders in running a successful data governance program

• Extensive experience of working on any Data Governance and Management industry solution, preferably Ataccama

This is a Contract position based out of McLean, Virginia.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $73.00/hr.
