Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Description

Join a dynamic team producing and distributing kitty litter to major retailers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of loading and unloading products.

• Retrieve packaged products from the packaging department wrapper area to load onto outbound trailers or warehouse racks.
• Unload inbound products and raw materials from trailers for storage or shipment.
• Perform daily pre and post-shift operational inspections on assigned forklifts.
• Inspect trailers and product pallets before loading onto trailers.
• Conduct product inventory, bin consolidation, and case picking.
• Meet efficiency targets based on operator level.
• Operate forklifts and safely load/unload trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and adherence to shipping instructions.
• Store finished products from the production line in correct warehouse locations.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers.
• Pick and pull products from racks using an RF scanner, hand wrap and label products, and stage them appropriately.
• Maintain a clean and safe production environment, including sanitation and cleaning tasks.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 55 pounds.

• 1-2 years of warehouse/forklift operating experience (sit down forklift).
• Proficiency with RF Scanner.
• Experience with SAP/WMS via iPad.
• Strong focus on safety.

• Experience with material handling, pallet jack, packing, and unloading.
• Electric pallet jack operation.

Work in a warehouse facility connected to a production plant. While producing kitty litter, the environment can be dusty. The position includes training on the first shift from 6 AM to 3 PM, with a move to the third shift from 11 PM to 7 AM, offering a $1/hour differential for third shift. The contract is ongoing with potential for extension and includes raises every six months.

This is a Contract position based out of King William, VA.

The pay range for this position is $25.65 - $26.65/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in King William,VA.
