Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities

• Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
• Support Residents to prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and individual preferences
• Support residents during activities and social outings to promote engagement and community involvement
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by supporting residents performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning resident areas and common spaces
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with facility policies and state regulations
• Collaborate with nursing staff, social worker, and program managers to develop and update personalized care plans
• Follow all safety protocols including CPR, First Aid, and emergency procedures to ensure resident safety at all times

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
• Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
• Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with residents, families, and team members
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or health challenges
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is beneficial
• Familiarity with medication administration procedures and care plan implementation is preferred
