Generous PTO Job Details Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
- Develop project plans, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Meet contractual conditions of performance, reviewing the work progress on a daily basis.
- Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path, tracking and reporting project milestones and deliverables.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Construction industry, specifically with commercial projects.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
- Extensive knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Excellent time and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire team members to achieve their best.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software packages.
- PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
