Waste Water Coordinator

Responsibilities:Waste Water Coordinator
Full-Time Day Shift: Monday - Friday
Hourly Pay Rate Based on Skills and Experience
- Develops an understanding of water train from entry into plant through final disposal to Municipal treatment system
Responsible for compliance with wastewater regulatory permits
Works in conjunction with production and maintenance personnel to maximize water use efficiency
Directs the operation and maintenance of pretreatment plant systems and equipment
Coordinate sludge disposal, chemical/supplies purchases and maintenance activities
Assures the effective testing of wastewater and recording of results
Maintains data management for treatment systems (water consumption, treatment efficiencies, sludge production, chemical usage)
Maintains relationships with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies including chemical suppliers, sludge haulers/users, municipal officials
- Develop strategies for the improvement of treatment processes and equipment to economically meet effluent requirements as defined in discharge permit
- Previous wastewater experience preferred but not required. Certification a plus.
Ability to manage complex issues while only referring the most difficult problems to higher-level staff.
Excellent scientific, analytical, and diagnostic aptitude.
Must have a mechanical aptitude for understanding and maintaining system equipment.
- Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work safely in varying climatic conditions.
Ability to manage time effectively and make calculated decisions.
Alternating working on off shifts or weekends as required.
