We are looking for am Accounts Receivables lead to oversee student accounts receivable and ensure efficient collection processes while fostering a student-focused environment. This role requires collaboration across departments, adherence to confidentiality standards, and proactive problem-solving to support students and the university’s financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee daily operations within the Student Accounts Office, ensuring accurate posting, billing, and collection of student charges.
• Reconcile cash receipts, review journal entries, and prepare general journal entries as required.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and parents, providing thorough and timely responses to inquiries.
• Assist students in setting up payment plans and resolving account issues with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Collaborate with Financial Aid to align billing information for students and parents.
• Maintain compliance with FERPA regulations when handling sensitive student information and coordinating with other departments.
• Analyze, update, and implement policies and procedures for efficient student account operations.
• Support university events by representing the Student Accounts Department and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Coordinate responses to external audits related to student accounting, financial aid, and business office functions.
• Perform additional duties and special projects, including processing refunds, distributing book vouchers, and preparing 1098-T forms.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.• At least two years of experience in financial or accounting roles, preferably in collections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with advanced knowledge of spreadsheet functions.
• Familiarity with management information systems, including cashiering and accounts receivable modules.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to solve problems and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
